About our Recycling Crates

Northland Waste collects household recycling crates in the Kaitaia and Whangarei regions.

In Kaitaia, you can purchase a 60L red recycling crate for mixed recycling (paper, glass, tin, aluminium and Plastics 1, 2 and 5) through our website by entering your address above. Your recycling crate will be collected weekly on the same day as your rubbish collection.

In Whangarei, we provide weekly recycling collection services on behalf of the Whangarei District Council. Each household receives one blue 60-litre glass crate and one red 60-litre mixed recycling crate
All cardboard should be flattened and placed besides your recycling crate. Cardboard can be tied in a bundle or can placed in a bag or flattened cardboard box. Please visit the Whangarei District Council website for more details using the link provided.
