Choose the bin size that best suits your household's waste disposal needs. These estimates provide a handy reference for how much waste each bin can accommodate.
What time do I need to put my wheelie bin out?
To ensure timely collection, kindly position your bin by the kerbside no later than 7:00 AM on the scheduled collection day.
Many of our customers find it convenient to place their wheelie bins out the night before, which is a great advantage of a wheelie bin as pests cannot get into the rubbish.
Why wasn't my wheelie bin emptied?
There are three common reasons why your bin might not have been emptied:
Late Placement: If your bin was set out after the truck completed its rounds on your street, it may not have been collected. All bins should be placed at the kerbside by 7:00 AM on the collection day. Our trucks are equipped with GPS tracking, enabling us to monitor collection times accurately.
Prohibited Content: If your bin contains items that are not permitted, it might not be emptied. For information on acceptable items, please refer to the "What can I/can't I put in my bin?" section.
Payment Issue: In cases where your bin service has not been paid for, it might not be emptied. This can occur if your direct debit payment fails (for direct debit payment method) or if your renewal invoice hasn't been paid (for advance payment method).
What can go in my general waste wheelie bin?
Your general waste wheelie bin is intended for most household general waste. However, please note that the following items should not be placed in the bin:
- Concrete
- Stones
- Steel
- Wood
- Hot ashes
- Liquids
